Vincent Belorgey (geb. 31. Juli 1975) ist ein Französischer DJ und Musikproduzent. Sein Stil geht in die Richtung House und Elektro Pop, lässt sich aber endgültig in keine klare Sparte stecken. Zur Musik fand er, als er von seinen engen Freunden Jackson Fourgeaud und Quentin Dupieux, welche selber erfolgreiche DJ`s sind, ermutigt wurde. Bei seiner ersten Single „Testarossa“ wurde er von seinem eigenem Ferrari Testarossa inspiriert, der sich als Remix in GTA IV wieder fand.
Er trat mit anderen Musikgrößen wie Daft Punk, Justice und the Rapture auf.
Allgemeine Bekanntheit erlangte er, als sein Song „Nigthcall“ der Titelsong für den Film „Drive“ wurde. Über seinen DJ-Charakter „Kavinsky“ sagte er, dass es sich um einen Zombie handle, welcher bei einem Autounfall ums Leben kam und nun seiner Freundin sagen muss, dass er nicht mehr derselbe sei. Das ist die Story, welche auch auf seinem Album OutRun erzählt wird.

Vincent Belorgey, born on 31 July 1975; is a French DJ and music producer. His style goes the direction of House and Electro Pop, but it can’t really be categorized into a specific genre.
He first found his passion for music when he was encouraged to do this job by his close friends Jackson Fourgeaud and Quentin Dupieux who are successful DJs as well. For his first single “Testarossa”, Belorgey was inspired by his own Ferrari Testarossa and this remixed hit got a cameo in GTA IV.
He already performed together with various music icons, like Daft Punk, Justice and the Rapture. Global popularity developed when his song “Nightcall” became the title song for the movie “Drive”. He describes his DJ-persona “Kavinsky” as a zombie which died in a car accident and now has to tell his girlfriend that he’s not the same anymore. That’s also the concept of his album OutRun.
