As a designer, she is able to scoop out all her repertoire which she collected throughout her life so far. Eun-Jung Lee studied at the University of art in Seoul and finally landed at the ESMOD in Berlin. As a designer where different worlds clash together you can see how she mainly works with contrasts. Always in search of new beauty and a new ideal, she always finds her inspiration in her passion for art.
Her final collection which was also presented at the Fashion Week in London is also rooted in the art. “ Contemporary White” is the name of her collection where the modern holiness is embodied. The collection got its inspiration on the uniforms of the Olympic Games which are traced back to the Greek columns and Roman togas. The designs are a mixture of gentle draping and strong elements of the uniforms. This contrast is emphasized with complementary colors to white and an asymmetry.
One can admit that this collection is a piece of art. It’s incredible that the designer just graduated in 2012 – we’ll definitely hear more about her.
