The  they’re real! push-up liner is allegedly the best selling product by Benefit as well as a must-have for all make-up lovers out there. Upon reading this, I went out and got one of these bad boys. Today I’d like to share my thoughts on benefit’s they’re real! push-up liner with you!

General Information
The liner retails for 25 € and helds up to 1,4g of product.

What it promises
The they’re real! push-up liner looks like your normal eye liner pencil but has the longevity of a gel eyeliner. Thanks to its tapered tip it’s possible to create the perfect line. The combination of all this promises the perfect application and a much bigger looking eye.

How to use it

The special AccuFlexTM-tip is very flexible, hence the name. That means you can begin the application from both the inner and the outer corner of your eye. Because of the tapered form you can get the product as close to the lash line as possible.

What I thought about the product
I personally rarely leave the house without eyeliner on. Foundation, mascara and lipstick I can do without but eyeliner is a must for me. That’s why I had to have this innovation. However, this product didn’t do it for me. If you have a lot of time on your hands you could create a perfect winged eyeliner. But I need something that works faster and better. The gel texture of the liner was a little bit too stiff for me. I also thought that it didn’t give off enough product for my liking. The tip was also too broad for my eye anyways. I believe that girls with a bigger eye fold won’t have this problem but I need something that works much more precise and is softer and/or more fluid. That’s why I wouldn’t repurchase this liner especially for 25 bucks. There are way too many good alternatives in the drugstore aisles, for instance the waterproof eye liner by Catrice.

Lana Hoang
