The ethnic look with its African touch is attracting attention and leads us to foreign countries. The bold look is demonstrated on numerous runways. The combination with fringes, folklore elements, tribal prints, the Ikat design and strong colors are very dominant. The ethnic look is one of the top trends of this summer.
Calvin Klein (first two pictures) or Donna Karan, both of them used the mesmerizing design for their runway shows. Alexanda McQueen is transforming the woman into a modern warrior. The models wore combinations of cropped tops and pants or skirts with ethnic prints.
Donna Karan (picture above) and Diane von Fürstenberg focused on romantic maxi dresses with colorful prints. Even caftans appear as a transformation of tunics. The ethnic look can also be very elegant – Valentino shows the trend in a sensual, classic way and focuses on dark colors.
Those who think that this look would be too bold for the daytime, can combine the tribal pattern with plain-colored basics, or only wears some exotic accessories as highlights. The embroidered bags with oriental patterns by Marchesa or oversized earrings also attract attention and can be worn at any occasion.
The ethnic look doesn’t only bring you the newest trends, but also many cultures from the whole world.
