Actually, Jerry Cohen founded his label only by chance. He has had a fable for sports and for tricots of the players and the ensembles of the clubs since he was a child. They reflected a beauty which he wanted to retain. When he later looked for a vintage baseball shirt, he couldn’t find one, because none of them could satisfy his demands. That’s why he started to create his own retro sports shirts. They became popular very quickly and so did he come into the limelight. This is how his label Ebbets Field Flannels was founded, which last year, celebrated its silver jubilee.
His shirts are enjoying cult status. They have been already featured in popular fashion magazines, movies, TV shows and theater plays.
