Mara Hoffman has been living and working in New York since she has founded her eponymous label in 2000. Before that, she studied at the Parsons School of Design in New York and at the Central St. Martin’s College in London – both highly renowned educational establishments.

Mara Hoffman’s style is unmistakable. She shows her individuality with the prints. These are inspired by nature, myths and in general mystic things. Another source is her trips around the world.

The ready-to-wear collection is a reflection of her typical style. All designs are decorated with versatile prints. The only thing they have in common are their numerous details and colors. Some remind of an Asian source, others of Central America or the Amazon river.

In contrast, we have the bridal collection which, of course, completely leaves out the colors. The designs are either completely white or off-white. Still, Mara Hoffman needs to include her patterns and adds them by attaching wonderful embroideries on the dresses or on the skirt corsage combinations.

Mara Hoffman wins our hearts. Her prints tell so much about her stories, about the different continents and cultures. They freshen up simple outfits, shine from an elegant ball gown with a black bottom part or sweeten a wedding in a subtle way.
