Frank Wright wurde 1885 in London gegründet und stellte ursprünglich Stiefel für die Kavallerieoffiziere der Chelsea-Kaserne her. Die Marke wurde ein wichtiger Bestandsteil der “Carnaby Street”-Szene in London in den 1960er Jahre. Während der späten 70er und 80er Jahre sicherten sie sich ihren Platz in der Jugendkultur und wurden etwas, was in keinem Kleiderschrank fehlen durfte. Das Schöne an den Schuhen ist, dass man sie so gut kombinieren kann…ob elegant oder leger, beides geht…ob Anzug oder Chinos und Shirt, mit dem richtigem Schuh kein Problem. Sie wirken klassisch und schick zugleich, sind aber gleichzeitig jung und modern.

Die neue Kollektion SS/2014: Wir hätten da Ankle Boots, halbhohe Ankle Boots, das klassische Modell eines Herrenschuhs in modischer Neuauflage, Mokassins und richtig coole, ja wie nennen wir es am besten,…Espandrillos! Warum cool? Diese futuristische Version eines Espandrillos, der oftmals Öko-und Strandlatschen-Klischee behaftet ist, kommt sehr sportlich und minimalistisch daher. Weiches glattes Leder in Dunkelblau, Himmelblau, Karamell und Schwarz, dazu eine ultra flache, helle Sohle und eine Schicht Leder, die sich noch mal über den Fersenbereich legt und bis zum Knöchel hochzieht. Abgeschlossen wird das Ganze durch karamellbraune Schnürsenkel (bei allen Schuhfarben), die man fest zuziehen muss, um den Schuh am Knöchel herum zu fixieren. Denn die Schnürsenkel fädeln sich anders als bei normalen Schuhe nicht über die Lasche sondern gehen ein Mal um die Fesseln herum.
Ansonsten sehr frische Farben, viel Blau, da vor allem kräftiges Himmelblau grad im Trend liegt. Es gibt einige robustere Modelle der Herrenschuhe, die einen Hauch von den Caterpillar Boots haben und Sportliche, die aussehen wie ein Mix aus einem gedeckten New Balance Sneaker und klassischem Herrenschuh.

Frank Wright’s got ankle boots and half –height ankle boots, the typical classic model of a men’s shoe remade and reinvented by Frank Wright, moccasins, and very cool – how should we call it – espadrilles! But why are they so cool? This kind of futuristic version of espadrilles, which often are associated with eco activism and beach, received a very sporty and minimalistic makeover thanks to Frank Wright. Soft, smooth leather in dark blue, sky blue, caramel color and black, on top of it an extremely flat sole and a layer of leather, which covers the heel area and reaches the ankle region. The whole thing is then completed by caramel brown laces , which all shoe models have.The laces have to be tightened to make sure that the shoe is fastened to the ankle. That is because the laces of these boots are attached differently, they are not adhered to the tongue of the shoe, but have to be wrapped several times around the ankles.
In addition, Frank Wright impresses with a lot of fresh colors, many blue accents, as sky blue , above all, is very trendy at the moment.
