If you want to build up muscle, training is one of the most important factors. But your diet is even more important! People say that your diet makes up 70% of your result. So what should we so-called hardgainers, who fight for each and every pound, do to gain weight? Eating a lot!

You have to consume excess calories, you have to literally always eat. It is said that for one kilogram of body weight you have to consume around 2 grams of proteins. You also have to consume an overload of calories in addition to that.  The best is to combine animal proteins with vegetable proteins so that your body is able to absorb those. A nutritious diet is very important, protein shakes are just enrichment to your diet but not a replacement of meals.

A perfect snack between meals – Peanuts! Those are truly protein bombs and besides that, they even taste really good. Rice and turkey, too, are full of important calories and nutrients. Fish such as salmon and tuna are also very good sources.

Boys, if you are not able to gain any weight despite of an intensive training…eat more! Or as someone told me: “You have to munch 24/7.”
