Barbecue parties are staples during summer just as hot chocolate belongs to the cold winter months. But for a girl they can be a little bit tricky to say the least. Let’s assume the guy you’ve been gushing about for weeks happens to be the host, the one manhandling the grill. You want to look attractive without appearing overly tarted up. The thing is, smoke, frying fat and heat are your enemies and clearly can cause your makeup to melt from your face – so what to do?
Well, let’s start with the hair. Braids are our friends here. Once you have your hair up and away from your face you’ll be much more content and way less sweaty, let me tell you that. Lipsticks and thick foundations are also a no-no when it comes to barbecues. Lipsticks just stand in the way of you and food and are unnerving during the heat. Opt for a nice gloss instead. You will look attractive without appearing to be a “try-hard”. Concealer, waterproof mascara and maybe even a nice pop of color will do the rest. A vibrant shade of blue in the water line of your eyes will give you an edge whilst slowly approaching the man with the barbecue tong. 😉
