Hello fellow beauty lovers.
Matte lipsticks get more and more hype by the minute both in the high end and drugstore aisle. Unfortunately those matte formulas are also the most unforgiving. They not only show but enhance your flaws and lip creases and it is just not cute. That is why priming your lips has to be on the top agenda when it comes to matte lip days. But I do get that not everybody, including me, want to head to the bathroom for a lip scrub every single time the mood for a matte lipstick comes up because honestly, who has the time? Instead you could do this little trick that cost you about 2 minutes to do. You will need a lip balm, a clean eyelash brush and tissues.
Take your balm and put a generous coat on your lips. Then take your brush and go over your lips to loosen up all the dead skin cells on it. Finally, take a tissue and wipe off every bit of the balm including the residue and you’re left with the perfect base for your lipstick.
It’s fast and absolutely painless. I really hope this little tip guides you through the next “Matte Lip morning”.
