Edeline Lee is a well-known name in the fashion industry. The London-based Canadian has been extolled for her work by many of this industry. Like numerous other successful designers, she also studied at the Central Saint Martins University in London. After jewelry designer Cora Sheibani had offered her to collaborate, she created a collection in 2012, which was then presented alongside Cora’s jewelry. That was the way she was discovered by the fashion world. She was celebrated by the most impacting magazines, including Vogue, New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily and Harper’s Bazaar. She won several awards and became a popular name in the fashion world. Aside of designing her collections, she also works for Style.com and occasionally for Stiletto Magazine. Her current spring/summer collection is defined by classic and feminine lines.

Black, white and grey are paired with red, turquoise and yellow shades and add a summery character to this elegant line. Cut-outs and backless designs are dominating details and provide a cunningly romantic touch. This modern, insouciant elegance that is represented by the outfits is perfect for today’s self-assertive power-woman. A coat dress in delicate, light grey-blue and silky, shimmery material is kept very feminine and delicate thanks to layered sleeves and a belt decorated with a bow. There is also another dress in midi-length and the same material, highlighted with gathered drapery and ruffles, which also strikes out with elegance and femininity.

Thanks to its slim waist and cut, the dress receives a vintage-tinted look, similar to a modern interpretation of a 50ies style dress. The white-yellow ensemble of a sweater and skirt, however, appear more unconventional. The wide, sun yellow midi-skirt is combined with a white-yellow sweatshirt with wide sleeves and cut-out elements. All in all, this feminine and elegant line is very sophisticated and modern, promising the certain something.
