This year’s edition of the Fashion Week Stockholm, which has evolved into one of the most important fashion weeks in North Europe since its first edition in 2005, is going to take place from August 26 to August 28. The focal point of the Fashion Week is to bring the Swedish fashion scene to the international fashion world’s, and to attract the press‘ and buyers‘ attention. On that account, the FWS supports around 30 local designers twice a year. They are then given the chance to present their newest collections in front of a big audience.
We are looking forward to numerous labels, such as Cheap Monday and AltewaiSaome, which are again going to be featured with their spring and summer collections 2015. What is even more interesting are the newcomers, including for example Björn Borg, Deitas and Isabell Yalda Hellysaz.
Isabell Yalda Hellysaz is a rising star of the Swedish fashion scene, who will debut with her collection “Solo Act”. After her studies at the London College of Fashion, she launched her first collection at the London College of Fashion Runway Show in 2012 and was referred to as one of the best up-coming talents in London by the renowned INDIE Magazine. Her label works with a small production and mainly concentrates on the model’s characters, craftsmanship, details and materials. On August 27, you can check out her collection on the runway at 6pm.

Apart from womenswear and menswear you will be also offered accessories at the Fashion Week in Stockholm. Featuring labels are for example jewelry designer Maria Nilsdotter, who is going to present her collection at 2pm on August 28th. She describes her jewelry as wearable art with a playful touch.
The design is defined by symbolic figures, unexpected turns and twists and inspiring contrasts. Her pieces point to mysterious and gloomy fantasy worlds, inspired by fairy tales and mythology. Her precious jewelry has been already worn by stars such as Noomi Rapace, Robyn and Madonna.

One of the greatest news of the Fashion Week does however not refer to the designers themselves, but the sponsores. Mercedes-Benz will not be the main sponsor anymore, which is why the name Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Stockholm was changed to the shorter and more elegant Fashion Week Stockholm.
We are going to watch all fashion shows and we are excited about how the designers have transformed the trends for S/S 2015.
