You still remember the ending of the movie Fight Club? Whether film or book – it seemed really good. Not everything was cleared up but that’s okay. And  when the end of the movie was crowned with the Pixies’ song “Where is my mind” and the skyline blew up into the air, we all had goose bumps. This was one of the best endings in film history!

But now Chuck Palahniuk is planning something that could endanger his legacy as the coolest author’s recent history – Fight Club 2 No, this is not a joke. As a graphic novel, there will be a 10-part sequel. 10 years after the end. The unnamed protagonist and the neurotic Marla Singer are married and even have a son (why?). Marla but misses her husband’s dark side (Tyler) and swaps his meds to bring it back out again. He’s going through a midlife crisis and doesn’t really manage to cope with his life.

The whole thing should be told from the perspective of Tyler, who is probably breaking down more and more. Now the big question: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, Chuck? Some stories just don’ need sequels. I cannot imagine that the whole thing going well and I see it coming that this amendment will entice any director to make Fight Club 2 an awful sequel of Fight Club.
