Silke Hampel has always devoted herself to fashion and created her own designs. After her humanistic studies, she decided to found her own label. And in 2009, Die rote Zora was born. In her former studio shop, she created individual unicums, which she then presented at several trade fairs.

Rote Zora’s popularity encouraged her to expand, and so Katrin Gonser joined the label as a freelancer in 2011. She had studied fashion design at the Trier University of Applied Sciences. During this time, she won the second prize of the Needle Work Design Awards 2006 with a knitted design.

After her successful university degree, she worked as a knitwear designer before she became a free-lance fashion designer in 2010. In 2012, the two women came together and started to work on their label Die rote Zora.

Fair fashion made in Germany – Die rote Zora represents a young fashion label from Stuttgart. The two designers pay a lot of attention to sustainable fabrics and fair working conditions, but also to exceptional designs and high-quality workmanship. The entire collection is “made in Germany” and is made with a lot of love of details and a thorough choice of fabrics.

Die rote Zora stands for clothing wearable in everyday life with an eye catcher effect. The fresh and playful women’s collection includes both trendy street wear outfits and also feminine dresses in the retro look. The designers also offer different sewing, knitting and tailoring courses at their shop studio in Stuttgart. There, you can learn how to design with a lot of creativity.
