At Shona Joy, two new collections await us: one for the fall and one for the winter in 2014 and 2015. The outfits of both collections seem to be based on each other, as the patterns and cuts indeed are similar and make sure that you will be able to combine the single pieces of clothing easily. Plain elegance meets a true explosion of urban patterns and color combinations.

In fall, the designs seem to alternate between summery lightness and wintery strictness. Skirts, dresses and pants are marked by rather short cuts and characterized by a mix of classic black, white, red, blue and autumnal brown shades. Be it plain-colored or geometric, thrilling patterns – thanks to the feminine silhouettes, the outfits shine with a noble, elegant sensuality enriched by a touch of Bohemian.

In winter, turtle neck sweaters and long pants become the stars of the collection. The designs often are made of wool, which represents the base of the collection’s knitwear. Other designs are made of a rather firm fabric. But there is one thing they have in common: They are all very comfy and cozy. Here, patterns, especially the classic checks, face plain-colored designs. Dulled colors like grey, mustard and brown add a wintery flair, while a luscious yellow fills your wardrobe with a summery touch.

As an Australian designer Shona joy of course can’t be missing at one of the biggest fashion events in Sydney, the Fashion Weekend which will take place in May. The fashion creator gained a lot of experiences at renowned labels after her textile design studies. In 2000, she finally fulfilled her dream by founding her own label!
