Chernobyl isn’t only one of the most abandoned places in the world. There are also many myths about this place. Shadows of Chernobyl appear again and again (graffiti images that represent humans’ shadows) and it is supposed that people are still living there.

That’s why Chernobyl is the El Dorado of all urban explorers. It’s also still so popular because everything is well-preserved. However, nature has also come back.

Some Dutch business men decided to transform Chernobyl into a holiday resort, creating cottages, observation towers and tracks. Everything is planned to look post-modern, like one would imagine the year 2000 in the 50ies.

I’m only partly convinced with this idea. The whole mysterious character would be lost. And it wouldn’t be respectful to the victims of the catastrophe.
