The label Yifang Wan was founded by the eponymous designer during the London Fashion Week in September, 2012. She graduated from the Central Saint Martins College in London and specialized in womenswear.

The young designer has already been given one of the sought-after L’Oréal Professional Awards for her workand has also received the Lane Crawford award. Now, she has launched her fifth collection, the one for fall/winter 2014/15. The label is known for the special silhouette and details.

One special feature, which is instantly visible, is the layering of different fabrics, which is used again and again: a Volant on a skirt, a skirt over pants or a belt that creates a very special 3D look. Even the bags that have been attached, look 3D-like. They’re mostly placed on the hips and expand over the thighs.

Beside these strong details and also straight designs, the straps that hang on almost every look appear very filigree. They add a feminine touch to the quite masculine looking designs. The designer uses totally different colors. Black forms the basis and metallic blue, deep burgundy and lavender complete the look.

Yifing Wan adds a personal touch to her designs by using her own cutting technique. This let them look more harmonious and still expressive although she leaves out prints and other details. The Fashion Week in Shanghai  is awaiting her!
