Craig McDean was born and raised in England. Now, he works in the Big Apple and is very successful. In England he had worked as a car mechanic before he found his passion and decided to study photography. His career started in London as an assistant of the fashion photographer Nick Knight. His early works were featured in magazines including “The Face”, and finally led to bigger jobs.
His clients have been Jil Sander and Calvin Klein or Harper’s Bazaar. Nowadays, he works for names such as Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Oscar de la Renta or Yves Saint Laurent. Moreover, he often appears in the Vogue or W.
