Have you always wanted the perfect vanity? Are you already working on it but don’t really know where to start and what to buy?
Today’s post is going to act as a guide for all of my fellow beauty lovers out there, who want to beautify their own vanity. I have prepared a list for you so you can see what you’ll need and where to get it.
The first thing you’ll want to worry about is the color scheme. How do you want your vanity to look like? Do you want a white/mint combination? That would look fresh and clean and would be perfect for the spring time. Or do you prefer a sultrier, glamorous look with golden elements and black velvet?
The second step would be one of the most important steps. The vanity mirror is the centrepiece of your vanity. You can get a modern one at Ikea for a small price. If you look for an antique piece, browse through the internet or stroll down your local flea markets. You won’t believe what gems you can find.
You can also stop by “Strauss Innovation”, “XENOS” and “Butlers”.
Now we’re on to the decorative Displays. You would want to use an étagère to display your favourite goods. Also, trays and baskets are incredible useful for our purpose. You can get affordable displays at “Tk Maxx”, “Kodi”, the Home Section of “Urban Outfitters” and “Ikea”, of course.
To make your vanity perfect you’ll need an eye catcher. You could use an antique tray for it to display your favorite makeup and fragrances.
What I would also advise you to do is to pick out family photos, cut-outs of magazines or the newspaper or a pretty picture to decorate the surroundings of your vanity.
Last but not least, we’re going to need a little bit of the right atmosphere around here. Do you have a special fragrance you love? I really love to light on a candle, especially the Yankee Candle in “Fresh Cotton”. That way it will smell like fresh sheets in my apartment and it eases me into tranquillity.
