I already took a closer look at label Julia Nikolaeva when she presented her Fall and Winter Collection 2013/14. I can’t wait to find out if the spring and summer collection is going to be just as striking. Similar to the fall and winter collection, all of the cuts are minimalist and emphasize the outfit as a whole.
I’m someone who doesn’t really wear too colorful things, so at first I was a bit confused. Among black, grey and white, Nikolaeva also added some neon yellow and neon red. Honestly, the longer I am looking at this kind of flashy yellow color, the more I realize it totally fits! Because the transparent yellow dress with a casual cut perfectly harmonizes with the traditional rain coat and the second yellow dress.
In contrast to many other designers, Julia doesn’t work with colorful patterns and instead adorns her garments with sequin letters which you can find on dresses, skirts and tops. Such an eye catcher! For someone who loves transparent PVC materials, the accessories especially caught my attention and I think this kind of material freshens up everyone’s wardrobe.
My absolute favorite looks this time are the yellow dress, which motivates me to finally wear more colorful details. But the completely grey look consisting of a casual blouse and ankle-length pants impressed me as well. It’s everything at once: Casual, modern and traditional! In conclusion, I can say that the label Julia Nikolaeva has also completely stunned me with the spring and summer collection.
