Through the fact that Lilach Eliyahu has been moving around a lot with her family, she treasures her memories of that period a lot. A childlike charm combined with nostalgia of the collection reflects the person Lilach Eliyahu the best. It hasn’t been a while since the native Israeli designer graduated from Shenkar University in Israel.
She lives in Barcelona now and tries to settle down there. She aims to be present all around the world and named her collection “Peek a Boo!” which is a game adults play with little kids and ask where the baby is while hiding their face behind their hands.
Lilach Eliyahu is looking for her memories throughout the collection which has shaped her childhood. Thus children’s wear is included and you can even find some pieces of dolls. Behind all this there is just a woman thus a confrontation of adults with kids and their dolls is created.
According to those interpretations the designs are very colorful. A bright yellow is combines with red and many flounces create a childish fluffy lightness. Lilach really took a children’s room into pieces and transformed those pieces into her collection. There are doll eyes on jackets and even a doll’s head on a collar.
The collection of Lilach Eliyahu puts its focus in general on casualty and mixes the attitude of dolls with the clothing itself. As mentioned, there are doll eyes and even a long and blond braid. Despite those experimental designs there are of course some pieces which would fit into your everyday life.
