„Smile now cry later“ ist ein zeitgenössisches Herrenmode-Label aus England. es wurde 2010 vom Kollektiv Concrete Studio gegründet. Jede Kollektion, welche SNCL heraus bringt, wird in Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlern geschaffen und die Kleidungsstücke stehen in Verbindung zu den visuellen Bildkonzepten, welche parallel dazu entstehen. Dabei inspirieren sich die Künstler gegenseitig und so werden Bilder, Filme, Musik und Mode ins Leben gerufen, homogen und Hand in Hand.
Und so sehen die Kleidungsstücke auch aus: Auf den ersten Eindruck würde man eher sagen, dass sie in ein Museum für Moderne Kunst gehören und nicht in den Verkauf. Bunte und kreative Prints, welche oft collagenartig angeordnet sind und aus verschiedenen Bildelementen bestehen, schmücken T-Shirts und Hemden.
Ungewöhnliche Oversize-Schnitte werden mit Asymmetrie kombiniert und durch die außergewöhnliche Farbgebung einzigartig gemacht. Colorblocking und Prints gehen Hand in Hand und die Farbpalette gibt dem Ganzen einen besonderen Stil und Wiedererkennungswert.
Eine neue Art von urbaner Mode, welche schon fast mehr Kunst als Kleidung ist!

„Smile now cry later“ is a contemporary label for men’s fashion from England. It was found in 2010 by the collective Concrete Studio.
