TOMTOM wurde von Elena Howell gegründet. Obwohl sie Architektur studiert hat, hat die Designerin nichts auf dem Bau zu suchen. Elena Howell entwirft keine Schlösser, doch gelingt es ihr mit ihren Schmuckdesigns, aus jeder Frau eine Prinzessin zu machen.
Die Inspiration für ihre Kollektion 2013 war wohl Ägypten, denn die Modelle erinnern an die Zeit der Pharaonen und der wunderschönen Kleopatra. Es wird hauptsächlich Gold und antike Bronze verwendet und mit blauen Steinen verziert. Außerdem sind Dreiecke oder Pyramiden die am häufigsten verwendeten Formen.
Die Halsketten sind massiv und führen leicht geschwungen in eine Spitzform. Ohne viel Verzierungen sind die Designs sehr Ausdrucksstark. Meist stehen sie auch für sich alleine, doch ab und zu werden sie mit Natursteinen, Strasssteinen oder Nieten verschönert.
Ein Ring in Herzform, Ein Ring, der an ein Atom erinnert – die Designs sind sehr einfallsreich und so noch nie dagewesen. Die Modelle von TOMTOM, welche meist in verschiedenen Farben geordert werden können, sind wirklich besonders. Die Designs sind ausgewogen und für jede Generation passend. Elena Howell hat sich von der Architektur ab- und dem Schmuckdesign zugewendet, und das ist auch gut so.

TOMTOM was founded by Elena Howell. Even though she studied architecture, the designer has nothing to do with construction. Elena Howell doesn’t map castles, but thanks to her ornament design, she makes every woman a princess.
The inspiration for her collection 2013 was most likely Egypt, because many of the trinkets remind you of the time of pharaohs and the gorgeous Cleopatra. Primarily gold and antique bronze is used and decorated with blue stones. Moreover, triangles or pyramids are the most used forms.
The necklaces are massive and lead slightly curved to a spike form. Without too much decoration, the designs are still very oratorical. The often are a statement the way they are, but sometimes they are decorated with natural stones, rhinestones or studs.
A heart-shaped ring and a ring, which reminds you of an atom – the designs are very creative and have never been seen like that before. TOMTOM’s trinkets, which mostly can be ordered in different colors, really are special. The designs are commensurate and fitting for each generation. Elena Howell has turned her back on architecture and turned towards jewelry design, and that is a good thing.
