Happiness klingt zwar nach Friede, Freude, Sonnenschein, hat es aber faustdick hinter den Ohren. Wer auf der Suche nach einem richtig tollen, trashigen Proll-Label ist, das sich selbst auch mal auf die Schippe nimmt, der wird von Happiness nicht mehr los kommen. http://www.happiness10.com/
Bereits in 2007 gegründet, begann alles mit einer simplen Idee…T-Shirts zu designen, die für 10$ pro Stück an Freunde und Bekannte verkauft wurden. Zwischen einem Mode- und Design Studenten aus Los Angeles und einem einflussreichen, Italienischen Familienunternehmen wurde diese Idee besiegelt, die schnell große Erfolge mit sich bringen sollte. Heut sind sie global vernetzt und haben sich, über die lokalen, italienischen Einzelhändler hinaus, einen Namen gemacht.
Was besonders auffällt, Happiness nennt sich selbst „Happiness Family“, wie bei einer Italienische Mamma wird bei dem Label herzlich geteilt, die Happiness weitergegeben und kollaboriert, was das Zeug hält, auch mit jungen, noch unbekannten Künstlern und Designern. http://www.shophappiness.com/
Zu ihrem Repertoire gehören Basic-Shirts, Designer-Shirts, Longsleeves, Hosen, Taschen, Camouflage-Kleidung für Hunde, Händy-Hüllen, Beanies, Schuhe, Bademode, Sonnenbrillen, richtig geile Retro-Tücher und verschiedene Schmuckarmbänder.
Wer bei Happiness shoppen möchte, sollte sich daran gewöhnen, dass es hier mehr um Entertainment in Form einer coolen Künstler- und Designer-Präsentation, als um herkömmliches „click and buy“ geht. Natürlich findet man auch eine Gesamtübersicht an Hosen, wenn man Hosen sucht. Aber es ist viel interessanter, sich von den verschiedenen Themen der Happiness Family inspirieren zu lassen und einfach nur mal zu schauen, denn dafür ist reichlich vorhanden.

Founded in 2007, the label started with a very simple idea: The founders of the label just planned to design T-shirts for only $10 per piece to sell them to their friends and acquaintances. This idea by a fashion design student from Los Angeles impressed an influential Italian family company so much, it decided to join the project. Working together, the two parties finally turned their plans into reality. Today, the label is active on a global base and made itself a name, even outside Italia, where many retailers are selling the clothes by Happiness.
What particularly catches our attention is the fact that the Happiness team calls themselves the “Happiness Family”, strongly reminding us of the typical Italian Mamma: Sharing, collaboration and happiness.
