Das spanische Label hat auf der BBB seine neue Mode-und Sportlinie vorgestellt. Das Bunte, flippige, wild durcheinander Gewürfele von Mustern, Ornamenten und Farben hat man in vereinzelten Stücken und Ensembles wieder gefunden. Unserem Team fiel aber auf, das Desigual mit der neuen Kollektion „geordneter“ geworden ist, also immer noch bunt und wild aber systematisch wild. Man hatte ein bisschen das Gefühl, als wäre das 1984 vom Schweizer Thomas Meyer gegründete Label ein wenig erwachsener geworden.
Desigual bedeutet wortwörtlich zwar „ungleich“ oder „verschieden“ aber laut Anno ´84 wäre aus dem jungen, bunten Teeny jetzt ein 29-jähriger, etablierter, stilbewusster Mensch gewachsen. Wir finden, dass sich das auch in der Hauptkollektion ausgedrückt hat. Es gibt eine etwas klassischere, bewusstere Schwarz/Weiß Linie, dazu bunte Kleider, Blusen und Denim, aber alles lockerer, legerer, gelassener und nicht mehr darauf bestehend, den Regenbogen einfangen zu müssen. Dadurch öffnen sich styletechnisch auch andere Türen, Desigual kann jetzt nämlich experimentierfreudiger mit jugendlichen, flippigen, ja fast schon durchgedreht-bunten Styles und klassischen Elementen umgehen und sie kombinieren.
Die Sportlinie hat mir besonders gefallen! Warum? Sie war bunt, also Pink, Rosa, Türkis, Gelb-Orange und Mint-Grün, Grün. Natürlich wie wir es von Desigual kennen, alles auf einem Mal. Aber,..auch hier wieder geordnet, im Mittelpunkt des Designs standen Dots und Ringe. Man muss sich das so vorstellen, wenn man in einem Teich ein Steinchen plumpsen lässt, dann entsteht an dieser Stelle eine kleine Welle in Form eines Kreises. Dieser Inner Circle zieht dann weitere Kreise, die langsam immer größer und dünner werden. Und jeder von diesen Ringen ist bei Desigual eine Farbe.
Ihr habt also einen Sportschuh, eine Tasche, eine eng anliegende, stretchige Trainingshose und Shirts, die genau diesem Ringmuster folgen. Leider durften wir vor Ort, auf der BBB keine Fotos machen, aber wir hoffen, dass ihr euch was drunter vorstellen könnt 😉
Ansonsten gab es von Desigual eine gehörige Portion Urlaubfeeling am BBB-Stand, wie man auf dem Bild mit den Muschelvorhängen deutlich sehen kann.

The Spanish label presented its new fashion and sports line at the BBB. The colorful, funky and chaotic charm consisting of patterns , ornaments and colors could be found in the collection’s pieces and outfits here and there. Nonetheless, our team didn’t fail to notice that Desigual had become a bit more organized with the new collection. Desigual’s design is still colorful and wild, however it became wild in an organized way. We had a feeling that the label, which was founded by the Swiss Thomas Meyer in 1984, matured since its emergence.
Desigual means ‘’unlike’’ or ‘’different’’. However, Desigual can be compared with a teenager who turned into a 29-year-old, style conscious, grown person. We think that this development was very visible in the latest main collection. It includes a more classic, deliberately designed black & white clothing line. In addition , there are colorful dresses, blouses and denim wear which are ,despite the colors, more laid-back and more casual. Yes, you could say that the garments were not created to compulsively catch each emerging rainbow anymore. Thus, this opens new paths considering Desigual’s style. Desigual is now able to experiment on combining both funky youthful , almost crazily colorful styles with classic elements.
Especially the sports line won me over. Why? The line was colorful – pink, rose, turquoise, yellow orange and mint green. Of course – as Desigual is known for this – all these colors were used simultaneously and therefore creating a huge clutter. And yet , it somehow seemed organized. Dots and circles were in the center of the concept. The pattern really has to be described with the help of a little pebble. If you throw this pebble into a pond, the impact creates waves in the shape of circles, in fact it is not only one circle, but a row of circles surrounding the spot on the surface of the water which the pebble hit. The more distant the circles are from this spot, the thinner they become.
Each circle is colored in a different color. This is how you can describe these Desigual circles. Sports shoes, bags, tight fitting, stretchy training pants and t-shirts are embellished with this circle pattern. It is a shame that we were not allowed to take pictures at the BBB. But we hope that you can at least imagine what the new path Desigual took looks like.
On top, Desigual tried to give its stall visitors a kind of holiday feeling, as you can see in the photo with the curtain made of shells.
