The black gothic lips are not something that everybody would wear on an everyday basis, but once you wear it at night or for any other event, it turns into a great statement look. Who likes a dramatic look can combine these lips with a dark smokey eye or an eyeliner, the runway variation would be the glossy-eye or bold mascara combination.
Step 1: First of all, line your lips with a black eyeliner. Here I used the color ‘Smolder’ von MAC.
Step 2: Next either apply that same eyeliner all over your lips or use a lipstick like the Velvetine Liquid Lipstick by Limecrime in the color ‘Black Velvet’. This product already has a matte finish, but if you use another kind of lipstick or eyeliner, step 3 will tell you what to do.
Step 3: To achieve that matte finish, dab a translucent or very light powder on top of the lipstick, which will instantly transform your look into a matte velvet lip.
