Hello fellow beauty lovers.

One Christmas Eve, a dozen of Christmas presents and clearly too much Christmas roast later. I don’t know about you, but I slept like a baby and really did go well beyond midday because the whole Christmas party thing is still now over. Some of you might know that Christmas is the time of the year where things really get stressful. I for one am going through a tight schedule right now although Christmas Eve lies in the past and I am all for sporting my Christmas Red tonight. I only get this one time of the year to get out my “RiRi Woo” by MAC because for the rest of the year I always grab slightly darker tones or nudes. So my question to you is: Are Santa Baby Red Lips after Christmas Eve HOT or NOT?

I personally love my classic red tones with cooler undertones although I have a “warm” complexion meaning that I have yellow undertones in my skin. But I really think that warm red shades highlight this fact a little bit too much. That’s why I like darker reds. I have two alternatives for a post-Christmas party for you: a creamy and glossy lipstick (YSL Rouge Volupté) and an ultra matte lipstick (MAC„ “RiRi WOO“). Those of you, who read a couple of my articles, know the all too obvious decision I personally made. 😉

Additionally, I often use one lip pencil for both of them. A classic red from the brand Manhattan is a true staple for me and elongates the longevity of your lipstick for the night. I am a total convert when it comes to the classic red – but only on Christmas. What do you think about that? Classic Christmas red shades after Christmas – HOT or NOT?

Yours truly
Lana Hoang
