botox

Hello fellow beauty lovers.

A week ago I introduced you to different methods for preparing your child for child beauty pageants. Today’s topic will be a little bit more in-depth than that. I will show you a couple of cases in which mothers of aspiring beauty pageant contesters don’t even stop at plastic surgeries when it comes to the appearance of their children and winning the crown.

In California a part-time aesthetician and mother injected her 8-year-old daughter with Botox. It now has become a small ritual in which she injects herself with the neurotoxin and then her daughter. 5 shots are being injected into 3 different parts of her face. Little Britney admitted on “Good Morning America” that it does hurt but that she no longer minded it because she was used to the pain.

ABC New’s Chief Health and Medicine Editor, Dr. Richard Besser, states that it is not permitted to use Botox on minors. He would be obligated to report anyone who does. The Botox drifts into the skin, then the throat and the muscles and may cause the whole structure of the child’s face to change because the body of minors isn’t fully developed.

Dermatologist, Dr. Doris Day doesn’t even see a profound reason as to why Botox would be necessary on an 8-year-old child. Why even risk it?

Sarah Burge also made worldwide headlines when it became public that she gifted her 8-year-old daughter a voucher of £8000 to use on plastic surgeries. She doesn’t see any problems in introducing her daughter to a world of Botox, face lifts, nose and boob jobs at an early age. The whole thing really started when child beauty pageants began to spread all over the world. The desire to win seems to make some overly ambitious parents to even risk their children’s lives.

What do you guys think about this new development in our world?

Yours truly,

Lana Hoang
