The designer Jonathan Liang comes from Malaysia and works in Paris. His creations are, above all, influenced by the woman herself. Her naturalness, sensuality and her character traits are underlined by his modern collections in a distinctive and yet discreet way. Film classics and extreme festivals like the famous Burning Man serve as a source of inspiration as well – the result is a trendy and sometimes unconventional Signature Line.
This fall, the collection is determined by edgy cuts in combination with straight lines. Classic pieces of clothing are turned into avant-garde creations. At the same time, he lets discreet colors clash with the very expressive material leather. Trust me, this style doesn’t lack sensuality. The straight look on the one hand is marked by features of the business style and yet you can spot sexy overknee boots gracing the endlessly long legs of the sensual mannequins.
Of course, the individuality and special traits of each of his models are in the center of the clothing line: Surprising low-cut backs and skirts, which are marked by a high-low cut, form the highlights. Statement pieces and futurist basics are combined. The boxy jacket, the cropped, edgy skirt and long blouse are elements which are always present in Jonathan Liang’s collections.
This year, he presents his fall and winter collection “God of wonders” to us on the Fashion Festival Singapoore on May 17. At 18:30 the show will begin!
