A really mad Call of Duty player decided to get revenge on his rival Rafael Castillo after losing an online-match in New York.
He decided to call the police and gave the police his rival’s personal information, stealing his identity. Via Skype, he went on to tell the officers that he just killed his mother and that he is likely to kill more people. At that moment, the officers believed him and really thought he was Rafael Castillo.
After telling the authorities his address, he hung up. The police immediately showed up with multiple cars, officers and helicopters – only to find the real Castillo at home with his mom unharmed. What a bad joke. Apparently, this angry gamer has been already threatening Castillo with sending a SWAT team to his house.
Unfortunately, this incident is just the reflection of a new controversial trend called Swatting going on in the US.
Oh well, fortunately this has never happened to me… even after all those awful players I’ve already beaten in my life 😉
