Valiant Hearts: The Great War is an unusual war game for several reasons.
Reason 1: This game is set in the First World War, a setting which is seldom chosen.
Reason 2: The cartoonish style kind of makes it appear cheerful, but it really isn’t.
Reason 3: This game is not about shooting in the first place.
And nevertheless, you can call this a well made war video game. Why? I think it is awesome for the reasons mentioned above. On the one hand, the First World War is a rare setting which will enable you to set foot on new territory. On the other hand, the graphics style is innovative for such a rough game in which a devastating war is raging. Nonetheless, the player is able to build a mentally and emotionally close relationship with the characters. Yes, this game is more emotional than you might assume at first. The missions will give you an elaborate understanding of the different facets of the human being sometimes. Well, I would choose such a game over any bloody Rambo action game. Valiant Hearts: The Great War is an amazing masterpiece. But go, buy it, play it and see for yourself.
