I believe it was Monday when I visited one of my local bars in Berlin but this time it wasn’t for a well-earned round of beer with the co-workers. I still remember the first time I heard of him and his music. He is well-known from where I come from. Rüdiger Bierhorst was the reason why the bar was unusually full. I still managed to snatch myself a seat and prepared to be amazed. And boy, did he succeed.

The music touched hidden parts of my soul and brought out emotions I wasn’t aware I had. He didn’t only affect me but also the rest of the room. He managed to creep his way into the people’s heart through his music. He sings about love and life in his sentimental, cheeky, rocky approach in combination with the unique sound of his voice.

When his partner Sven Panne began to punch tunes from Rock-Chansons out of the piano I could just manage to press down the swelling tears. I will never forget this amazing duet and I am sure that this won’t be the last time I’ll be seeing them.

Don’t miss out on the next concert in your city. It is definitely worth your time.
