The label Janis Sne creates fashion isolated from short living trends and the commercial pressure to sell. Thus the style is marked by a thoroughly artistic character. Every single cubic meter is planned with love and is properly constructed. His impressive collection “Dofa” proves that the designer isn’t influenced by defined seasons, temperatures or weather. Instead, the unique design is based on the message Janis wants to convey: Dofa is illustrating a generation which is searching happiness in the virtual world and fleeing from reality.
The collection is dominated by black and white and a refined minimalism, which impresses with a diversity of materials. Even LED lights are used to reflect the significance of technology in today’s society. Shiny black plastic elements in the form of sharp edges surrounding a sensual, deep cutout are combined with transparent Chiffon and lend an unbelievable expressiveness to the black, floor-length dress.
Impressive coats consisting of black leather and varnish impress with constructed cuts. They are embellished with oversized hoods and collars leading us into a mysterious matrix maked by a penetrating coldness. There, we meet the queen wearing a white, knee-length dress covered with hundreds of three-dimensional, white, sharp crystals demonstrating her strength. Janis Sne turns his mannequins into queens, rulers of their own virtual world.
