Abigail Stewart’s eponymous label is based in New York. For the designs of her recent spring/summer collection 2014 the designer got inspired by topics such as the fairytales, science fiction movies, fantasy worlds and the Italian cinema. The entire collection consists of dresses in black and white and in different lengths. Thanks to the flowing materials and high-quality fabrics, they appear very precious and elegant. The big, lush necklaces and fur coats complete the look.
A grey floor-length dress, which changes under the light, impresses the most. The material seems to have a wavy pattern so that dress receives an elegant touch. My favorite piece, however, is the combination of silky, delicately flowing pants in a crème shade and a shimmery top or rather plain in the same color. This outfit is elegant and sporty, but also sexy thanks to the backless style. It reminds of Marlene Dietrich’s charm. This is my favorite party look!
Do you remember the past collection called “Bone Machine”? This one was as structured as the “Sun King” collection, but this time Abigail also picks up some highlighting colors and creates accents with the special choice of fabrics. I’m sure she will surprise with more amazing collections, soon.
