Linda Vasel is a Danish fashion designer and quite new in this scene. She only decided to study fashion design in 2007. However, this wasn’t the first thing she had studied. Since she actually wanted to become an artist, she studied several different subjects. Now, she founded her own label under her own name; and somehow she couldn’t separate herself from art. She namely works on garments for the stage and showbiz. Her focus, however, is set on her own collection.

The newest collection is named: “The Dote Collection”. The designer received inspiration from characters of history and fairy tales. Therefore, she mainly examines women and animals that are described in very contrasting ways: on the one hand very delicate and beautiful, on the other hand very powerful and unreachable. In her new pieces one can recognize the characters very easily. She always focuses on reduction and classic elements, which together mark her label. The results are for example a poncho which might have been worn by Little Red Riding Hood or a long-sleeve piece that is usually used to be worn by queens

Linda Vasel enhances the fashion world by adding fairy-tale-like designs. They are clearly cut and often create flowing lines. Even though the inspiring fairy tales and historical figures might be obvious, those who don’t know them might also just observe very striking, uncompromising fashion.
