Beetle Beetle is a very new label and represents itself accordingly fresh and young. Especially in the spring/summer collection 2014 all designs look very innocent. Beetle Beetle knows how to deal with patterns and proves that with every single article of clothing. It seems to be influenced by various directions, thus the collection combines several mixed ideas.
Some of the designs are inspired by Asia, for instance those made of shiny material with flower or mandala elements. On the other hand some of the flower patterns remind me of the flower arrangements we usually find on Bavarian dirndl dresses. In addition leopard pattern tops the diversity off.
The designs look very feminine, primarily thanks to all those flower prints, but also because of the flounces and formfitting, elastic bands around the waist, which create a very emphasizing effect because of the general light atmosphere in the designs. Beetle Beetle is a young label and represents itself in a harmonious way. This label spreads out an often girlish charm through sweet designs that are composed of filigree details and fresh colors.
