Emilie Stovik zeigt mit ihrer Kollektion für Herbst und Winter 2013/14 eine sehr eigene Interpretation des Winters. Die Kollektion führt zurück in rustikale Verhältnisse, in einen Winter, in dem man abgekapselt von jeder Gesellschaft alleine versucht, in der Wildnis zu überleben, wo man selbst jagen und sammeln geht und eins mit der Natur wird.
Dieser Gedanke, dieser Drang, zurück zum Ursprung der Menschheit zu gelangen, den eigenen Trieben und Instinkten zu folgen, ist ein Trend, der immer deutlicher und öfter zu beobachten ist. In einer Gesellschaft, die mehr oder weniger nur noch virtuell existiert, ist das Verlangen nach Realität und nacktem Überleben immer eindringlicher vorhanden.
Genau dieses Gefühl wird durch die Kleidung von Emilie Stovik vermittelt – und das reicht oft schon. Schließlich fühlt man sich immer so, wie die Kleidung, die man trägt, einen Auftreten lässt. Mit den Designs von Emilie Stovik fühlt man sich also gerne mal als Teil der Wildnis, als wäre der Bär ein Bruder und der Wolf ein Begleiter auf den Streifzügen durch die gefrorene Wildnis. Die weiten Ärmel und die Kapuze, die bloß die Augen gezwungenermaßen frei lässt, hinterlässt den Eindruck einer weisen Einsiedlerin.
Auch für die Naturburschen unter den heutigen Großstädtern hat das Label etwas auf Lager. Mit einer Pelzweste und weitem Wollhoodie wird aus dem Mann ein gerechter Jäger, der sich nimmt, was er braucht und nicht mehr. Die Trophäen, die er von seiner Jagd mit nach Hause bringt, trägt die Dame auch gern als Schmuckstück um den Hals. Die Rede ist von Holzstücken und rostigen Nägeln an rustikalen Schnüren.
Emilie Stovik deutet mit ihrer Kollektion für Herbst und Winter ein Abschied von der modernen Gesellschaft und ein Willkommen in der Natur an.

Emilie Stovik’s new fall and winter collection for 2013 and 2014 shows her own interpretation of the coldest of seasons: winter. The collection leads us back to a rustic era, it takes us to a winter where one had to survive in the wild isolated from any civilization. It is an era when we used to be hunters and gatherers depending on Mother Nature’s mercy. This ideal, the urge to go back to the roots of humanity, to follow our natural impulses and instincts is a trend which can be observed more and more often even in our modern time.
This desire for being united with nature again is embodied by Emilie Stovik’s fashion. She can’t bring humanity back to its roots. But she at least wants to show that our genes have barely changed since the Stone Age. She wants us to feel the Stone Age man inside us again with the help of her clothing. Dressed in the designs by Emilie Stovik you feel as if you are a part of the wild, as if you are surrounded by bears and wolves in the icy wilderness. The wide sleeves and the hood which merely reveal the eyes truly leave the impression of a hermit living far away from any civilization.
The label also has something in store for the outdoorsmen amongst metropolitans. With a fur vest and a widely cut wool hoodie any man will be turned into a fair hunter who just takes what he needs and nothing more. The trophies which he brings back home from hunting are now hanging from the neck of his wife in the shape of a necklace: to be exact, pieces of wood and rusty nails attached to rustic cords are embellishing the throat of his spouse.
Emilie Stovik wants to hint to the farewell to our modern society to go back to our natural roots with the help of her collection for fall and winter.
