Das MxM Tattoo-Kollektiv steht genau dafür: Kunstwerke fürs Leben, welche mit Schmerz erkauft werden. Ihr eigenes Fashion Label macht das nicht viel anders. Natürlich, ein T-Shirt kannst du ausziehen, wenn es dir nicht mehr gefällt aber glaub mir, ein T-Shirt von Sang Bleu willst du gar nicht mehr ausziehen, sobald du es erst mal angezogen hast. Sie sind vom Stile her ebenso wie die Tattoos der Künstler. Die feine Ästhetik der wenigen Linien und des harten Kontrastes ist es, die den Reiz ausmacht.
Oftmals sind auf den Shirts nur simple Schriftzüge des Namens abgebildet und das reicht schon, um dieses Shirt absolut begehrenswert zu machen. Auf der Straße wird kaum jemand etwas mit dem Namen Sang Bleu anfangen können und sie werden auch meist nicht das Tattoo Kollektiv MxM kennen. Und dennoch werden sie das Shirt mit neidischen Blicken mustern. Und die, die es erkennen, wissen, dass du einer von ihnen bist.
Natürlich gibt es auch andere Motive als den Schriftzug. Es gibt ein kryptisch angehauchtes geometrisches Muster, ein orthodoxes Kreuz (das Label-Logo) und die Queen im klassischen Tattoo-Stil: allesamt minimal gehalten aber mit maximalem Effekt. Es werden bevorzugt Schwarz und Weiß genutzt, nur selten kommen kleine Abstufungen in Grau hinzu. Und auch diese werden nur sehr fein gesetzt. Denn genau wie bei den Tattoos gibt es nur hier eine Farbe und die heißt Schwarz!

MxM stands for artworks which are supposed to define the rest of your lives once you call them yours. Well, of course you can still take off a T-shirt. But trust me. A T-shirt by Sang Bleu is something you don’t ever want to remove from your body. These T-shirts are inspired by tattoos. The filigree aesthetical look of the few lines printed on them and the extreme contrasts are the attributes defining the charm of these masterpieces.
Often, the T-shirts however only have the brand name printed on them, which definitely suffices to make these tees desirable for fashion fans. On the street, there are probably not many people who will have heard of the name Sang Bleu as well as the tattoo community MxM. Nonetheless, these tees will lead to many jealous glances. And those who know MxM, will recognize and acknowledge you as one of them…
Of course, there are also other graphic motifs apart from captions. There are patterns with a cryptic touch, an orthodox cross which is the logo of the label and at the same time the queen of classical tattoo art. Everything is kept in a minimalistic style with a maximal effect. Mainly black and white are made use of with fine and filigree nuances of grey which are used minimally. After all, the brand’s tattoos are all colored in the ultimate color: black.
