Frauen in Männerarbeitskleidung. Das klingt schwer nach dem Morgen nach einer unerwarteten Übernachtung auswärts oder einem Feuerwehrkalender. Eigentlich geht es aber um „Confezioni Crosby“, doch auch die sind sexy. Das Label kooperiert mit einem New Yorker Hersteller von Uniformen und Arbeitskleidung für Männer. Anders als in New York werden in Italien jedoch die Designs an Frauen angepasst und den Entwürfen damit eine ganz andere Bedeutung verliehen. Funktionalität spielt zwar weiterhin eine Rolle, doch auch Ästhetik ist dem Label wichtig.
In der Vorschau für den Frühling/Sommer 2014, die neuestens online bereit gestellt wird, ist der Tragekomfort gleich zu erkennen. Die Kleider sind weit geschnitten und fallen lässig, mit viel Bewegungsfreiheit. Doch sieht man auch klar die Verbindung zu beruflicher Professionalität in den Stücken.
Der weiße Overall scheint, als hätte man ein Männerhemd in die Hose gesteckt und dabei wären die beiden verschmolzen. Eine Knopfleiste in der vorderen Mitte führt bis zum Gummizug ungefähr auf Taillenhöhe hinunter. Zwei Taschen im Hosenteil und zwei Brusttaschen stellen etwas Stauraum zur Verfügung und verweisen wieder auf die eigentliche Aufgabe der Designs, Funktionalität. Das Model an sich sieht in dem männlichen Overall umso weiblicher aus. Etwas verloren und verletzlich aber auch neckisch, selbstständig erscheint der Look. Ob nun unsicher oder sicher, die Designs von Confezioni Crosby wirken auf jeden Fall verführerisch.

Women in men’s work clothes. Sounds like the morning after an unexpected sleep over or a fire brigade calendar. But actually it is about Confezioni Crosby, those are really sexy too! The label collaborates with a uniform and work clothes manufacturer from New York for men. In contrast to New York, the outfits and designs are made to fit women and the garments get a whole new meaning. Functionality is still playing a big role, but looking aesthetic is the main topic for the label.
In the preview for Spring/Summer 2014, which is now online, you can instantly see how comfy the garments are. The dresses have wide cuts and are casual, with a lot of freedom of movement. But you can still see that there is a clear connection to the occupational professionalism in the garments.
The white overall seems like you took a men’s shirt and put it in the trousers. It seems like during this process the two pieces have molten into one piece. There’s a button facing in the middle which leads all the way down to the waist. Two pockets at the trouser part and two breast pockets give you a little storage room and bring you back to the main topic of this design: Functionality. The model looks even more feminine and graceful in the men’s overall. The look seems a little lost and vulnerable, but also kind of teasing and confident. Whether it seems confident or not, Confezioni Crosby’s designs are tempting in any case.
