Die Druckmotive lassen sich von alten Kupferstichen und Buchdrucken inspirieren, wofür heutzutage aber die innovativsten Laserdrucker, vereinzelt auch Siebdrucker, zum Einsatz kommen.
Weiche fließende Farbverläufe und Farbfelder ergießen sich über die Seidenstoffe und spielen mit den Bildern, welche in diese eingearbeitet sind und sich im ersten Moment der Aufmerksamkeit des Betrachters entziehen.
Reiter, Indianer und Tiere zählen zu den eingearbeiteten Motiven.
Das wohl schönste Tuch ist „Natives Silk“. Es besticht durch Malereien Amerikanischer Ureinwohner. Passend dazu ist ein Indianer im Kupferstichstil in den Ecken aufgemalt worden. Da es diesen Schal in verschiedenen Ausführungen gibt, reicht die Farbpalette über Grün bis Orange und Akzente hellen Blaus, welches den indigenen Charakter nur noch weiter verstärkt und ausbaut.
Das alles wird aber, wie auch bei den anderen Tüchern, erst auf den zweiten Blick gewiss. Auf den ersten sieht es nur nach einem schönen Tuch aus, kurz darauf nach einem wunderschönen Stück Kunst.
Diese Kunst haben sie auch auf eine Blusen (259€), Taschen (299€), Kleider (419€) und einen Blazer (349€) gebracht.
Wer sich ein Tuch von LOUP NOIR kauft (circa 150€) kann sich bereits vor dem Auspacken auf einen Augenschmaus freuen. Sie sind fein verschnürt in altem Buchkarton, denn Nachhaltigkeit wird hier großgeschrieben und mit Authentizität stemmt man gegen die Massenware der Industrie und lässt der Slow-Fashion den Vortritt.

Loup Noir is a trip to long gone times, which Loup Noir re-invents. Known for their shawls, the very traditional looking enterprise produces shawls which don’t immediately give away their historic spirit. The print motifs are inspired by old copper engravings and letterpress printings. However, the most innovative laser printers and sometimes screen printers are used to create the beautiful prints.
Soft, floating color gradients and color fields soak the silk, illustrating countless, single pictures, which are installed in the entire print. At first sight, the spectator, overwhelmed by the complexity of the print, can’t perceive these single motifs.
Riders, Indians and animals are part of the variety of motifs.
The probably most beautiful shawl is called “Natives Silk”. It delights with the paintings similar to those of American native people. Matching the theme, an Indian man is painted in the corners of the shawl, reminding of copper engraving. Since this shawl is available in many versions, the color palette ranges from green to orange and different blue nuances. These colors emphasize the indigenous character of the shawls.
However, everything seems just clear at second glance because the beauty of the print is just overwhelming.
And it gets even better. These beautiful prints also cover the blouses (€259), dresses (€299) and blazers (€349) of the label.
Who buys a shawl at Loup Noir (€150) can even be looking for the wrapping of their parcel in which the shawl is delivered. They are eye candy made of board because sustainability is important to the label. Loup Noir is against the production in bulk, merely fabricating garments which you can refer to as “Slow Fashion”.
