Photographer Brandon started his project shortly after he lost his job. He wanted to photographically portray the tremendously differing characters of New Yorkers, so that he could show the entire world the varying cosmos of New York. Often, a short quote from the person is showcased alongside their picture.
According to Brandon, whenever he seeks out a new hobby, he always tends to almost develop a relationship with it. First, it was saltwater aquariums, then it was piano playing, and now it’s categorizing New York.
In my opinion, his blog Humans of New York is one of the coolest websites I’ve ever found. It’s got thousands of photos from New York, and each and every one of them has its own unique story to tell.
