Tattooist Alexey (alias Lesha Lauz) works with colorful motifs that look as if they’ve been painted on. He seems to prefer animals and flowers, but daily objects such as books or bikes are also among his inventory.

Aside from the pretty colors, what distinguishes him from other tattooists is his two breaches of style: parts of the total picture are pixelated, and images of landscapes fill in the outlines of other motifs. The resulting effect? The little raccoon looks like it’s made of a flower meadow. So that the viewer isn’t completely thrown off track, a few details of the original shape remain.

These cheerful colors and adorable images create a joyful picture, and they bring to my mind illustrations from a kids’ book.
