While German geeks associate Katapher with a lyric body, I know that Katapher is an extremely cool alternative-rock-band from Austria. These guys are super talented.
They mix post-rock pieces with rather aggressive and jarring guitars and a melodious voice (which reminds me of Brian Molko one’s, the singer of Placebo). The whole work is based on clear structures resulting in a symbiosis.
So far, they have published two albums that are both worth listening to although I have to admit that I prefer their new album “Cryptobiosis” a little more. I hope they will stick to their guns and refine their unique style. You guys have to check them out! You can even listen to their albums for free on “Bandcamp.com”. So, what are you waiting for?
