I can’t explain how much I’ve loved True Detective. Only eight episodes were needed to mesmerize me with a thrilling and grim story. Who actually didn’t like the man you only called “Rust” (Matthew McConaughey)? Rust, a life-denying pessimist, a nihilist who was addicted to alcohol, but still ran like Swiss clockwork. Rust, a genius, the anti-hero who doesn’t reinforce clichés.
And then there was the first murder case. The first season, thus also the story, ended a while ago. In the second season, we will meet new characters and a new case. Hollywood names, such as Colin Farrell and Elizabeth Moss are rumored to be casted this time. Believe it or not, also our beloved Rust a.k.a. Matthew McConaughey is interested to be part of the second season. Looking forward to it!
Summer 2015 – I’m sorry, but I will spend all of my time in front of the TV. This is a call to everyone who hasn’t watched the amazing first season. You have to do it! There is an unlikeable anti-hero, another one of its sort, ritual murder and Rednecks. What else could you want?
