The Label Steinrohner

Inna Stein (*1987) and Caroline Rohner (*1987) are the ones pulling the strings behind the brand Steinrohner which is based in Swiss and in Russia, but which also seems to have spread its creative wings in Berlin. During the fashion design studies at the Berliner art university Kunsthochschule Weißensee, Inna Stein and Caroline Rohner got to know each other and founded their brand Steinrohner in the year 2013.

Confidently and yet playfully, the creations by STEINROHNER play with the general concept of wearable fashion and art, giving birth to a very distinct style beyond any conventions – the Couture de la Rue as Inna Stein and Carolina Rohner call their style represents an intersection of haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion. Avant-garde, delicate and complex structures form the chosen textiles and take the beholder and the wearer into parallel worlds made of dreams, fantasies and yet clear lines. During this journey, modern laser cut technologies clash with traditional knitting techniques and other handicrafts. The result is a mind-blowing interplay of fantasy worlds, in which garments playfully enfold their atmospheric beauty.

STEINROHNER’s creations are inspired by pictures, movies, histories, people and icons. By letting their environment tell its stories, by listening to them and dealing with them, the two designers create the materialized dialogues between their own personal mindsets and said environment. The end product is art you wear on the streets. With the collection “Fossilized” for the spring and summer season 2015, STEINROHNER has officially launched its second collection onto the market after presenting it during the Paris Fashion Week 2014.
