Travelling is something amazing!

I am this kind of person who prefers to come earlier than late. This is why I was standing at the airport at already 9am even though my flight was planned for 12:55. Honestly, if I had to choose between bus and train or being brought by car, I would choose the car. Ingenious. Especially because my suitcase was not handy and heavy. And the airport looked like a terminal for gambling for the last few days, because one just did not know anything about the next planned flight because of the strike of the pilots. Fortunately, I had enough to eat and a friend I could take to.

Do you know this when you are standing at the check-in and you start worrying about your suitcase being too heavy or that one might find something illegal you did not actually know? Or you are just afraid that it is going to beep even though you are wearing a non-wired bra and you have removed anything that has to do with metal from your body? Terrible. Aside from the sweat that was running from my forehead, I also had some liquids with me. There is always a problem. What to do in such a case? Of course detaining the queue and finish your drink. Who knows when you will have to drink something again?

When I landed in Heathrow, I had to go through a long, long, long way to the baggage claim. I am sure, the way was only so long so that your baggage was ready for you when you arrive. Everything went well. But finding the exit was another challenge. I was strolling around for half an hour until I finally found out that I had to go to Terminal 5 in order to get to the city. I got this news quite quickly, but finding the terminal was not easy at all, because therefor you need to take the train!

It was so easy-peasy… After thousands of emotional outbursts, I finally got to Terminal 5. Then, everything went very easily. If you know trains in Berlin, you can also take them in London. Changing two times and carrying your 22kg suitcase up and down millions of stairs, and then I reached Peckham Rye in Southwark. Four hours later than actually planned. When I reached the house, calmness and delicious food were waiting for me. And this was what I really needed.

The house where I was supposed to do my au-pair job was giant. My room was on the forth floor and the kitchen was on the basement. So, you have to think twice if you are really hungry. All in all, it was a successful day, because I did not get lost. What else do I need?

On Instagram, you can follow each day and experience I am doing here or which fashion freaks I am just bumping into. You can see all locations I am going to and everything I am eating in London.
