sup yoga

Hello fellow beauty lovers.

Everywhere I go I hear people talk about how great Yoga is for losing weight. But whenever I try it out to actually see it for myself I find that it’s just not as challenging for me as I would want it to be. Sure, it’s no picnic. But for me, a good workout includes soreness and buckets of sweat, I’m old-fashioned that way. So you could say that the hype around Yoga never really affected me until recently. I read about this new trend called YOW (Yoga on Water) or SUP (Stand up Paddle) Yoga. It combines your typical Yoga movements with the element of water. You usually need a Stand Up Paddle to do it. Considering that you are floating on water it can be quite hard to keep balance, which turns your typical Yoga into a hardcore workout, just how I like it. A lot of tiny muscles are being worked as opposed to other sports, where you only need your main muscles.

But make no mistake, this is not exclusively for your body. Your mind is being challenged to. You have to be totally focused on what you do unless you want to take a swim during your workout. Don’t forget that you’re still floating around the ocean/lake.

It’s incredible how imaginative people get when it comes to Fitness & Co. This trend however, sounds really promising, don’t you think?

By the way, here in Berlin you can try this new trend out at NALANI Supsurfing

Yours truly,

Lana Hoang
