Tip Tuesday | Sweat-Proof Makeup

I’ve been away on vacation for exactly a week now and I had to deal with the problem of how to maintain my face in the heat. I don’t like wearing anything on my face during the day, though. But the thing is, here in Vietnam it is ALWAYS hot, which means whenever we go out at night, you still sweat your ass off. So I needed to adjust my makeup bag accordingly to the weather to prevent outshining the disco ball at night.

Those products are simply amazing and have saved my life multiple times. Whilst other girls shine in a very bad way I look relatively pulled together in the club.

(1) Benefit Porefessional: Especially in those summer nights you’ll need a good primer to create a smooth canvas for your makeup. It will prolong the longevity of any foundation you put on top.

(2) Bare Minerals Matte Foundation : I’ve been using this mineral foundation for a while now and I’ve been loving it to death. It mattifies your complexion and is perfect for sensitive skin. I have combination skin which tends to be oily. Therefore, my skin is acne-prone, especially in the T-zone. Bare Minerals creates foundations that have a very light and healthy formula without added oil to prevent any impurities.

(3) The so called Mineral Veil is the equivalent of face powder at Bare Minerals. Like the name cannily suggests, it places itself on top of your face like a light veil to keep the makeup in place. When I’m out and about I always keep my blot powder (powder to basically touch up your makeup) and oil-absorbing sheets with me to freshen things up on the go. I’ve used a multitude of products and think that the ones from Tony Moly are the best! Just lightly dab your face with it and you’re good to go. Afterwards just blot your face with your powder and you will look like freshly made up, it’s like magic. I love this combination whenever I’m out during hot summer nights or in a club.
