For countless gamers and event managers Twitch.tv has basically been like television.
Live broadcasts of large-scale tourneys such as “Dota 2: The International” and the “League of Legends LCS” can be viewed live and most of the time even in Full HD. And if there’s no tourney running, there’s still a whole bunch of pro gamers with live streams who are interacting with the viewers using the chat. In this way, you can learn from the pros.
For now, twitch.tv is justin.tv’s subsidiary website, which has been experiencing an enormous amount of growth in users. Every month, there’s over 50 million active viewers and more than 1.1 million gamers are streaming while gaming.
Now it’s been confirmed that Google is going to buy Twitch.tv. However, the exact date and price of this deal have not been confirmed just yet. Twitch.tv is allegedly going to cost Google 1 Billion US Dollars.
