Neoguri, an unusual strong typhoon, has been destroying huge parts of South Japan, especially the Okinawa islands. Air and shipping traffic has been stopped and highways were closed. A 62-year-old drowned in the flooding.

Meanwhile in Hokkaido earthquakes with a magnitude of 5.6 are shattering the northernmost island. Not only in Japan but also on the Philippines and in South China are victims of the raging seas. Typhoon Rammasun rampaged over the island kingdom and took over 100 lives on its way. Now it reached South China. But the extent of destruction it will cause is still unclear.
